Transformer for Wind Power

TRAELECOR manufacture pad mounted and substation type three phase transformers for wind turbines both oil filled and dry type of capacity 750KVA, 1000KVA, 150OKVA, 2000KVA, 2500KVA and 3000KVA.

The secondary voltages are 11KV, 22KV and 33KV.  The primary voltage depends on design factor of wind turbines as well as wind speed, which is usually less than 1000V (600 to 800V).  The transformer in a wind turbine is commonly located at the base of the wind turbine. This minimizes the risk of the damage to the transformer in the event of turbine collapse. Because of the heat build-up due to rapid and irregular thermal cycling, harsh link conditions, gas build-up from arcing during tap changing etc. these transformers require specialized design to improve the reliability. Our design ensures most reliable and highly efficient transformer.
